Initial Design Concept for Vacuum Vessel and Low Temperature Shield
Form plasma side of vacuum vessel wall with bump-formed, 1.0 to 1.5-cm-thick, welded sheet (vacuum tight structure)
Weld ribs to wall for support of second, outer wall
Fill structure with shielding media
Weld closure plates and plumbing lines
Install in quadrants; translate TF coils to final position
Requires internal construction joint for installation of final quadrant and related TF coils
Have the vacuum vessel and low temperature shield as an integral component
Provide supports for hot structures at top and bottom
