Some key Reasons for developing Sn-Li
- Sn-Li has acceptable tritium breeding capability
- Sn-Li is expected to have low chemical reactivity with air and water due to low lithium chemical activity
- Sn-Li is expected to have low tritium solubility
- Sn-Li has very low vapor pressure
- The thermal conductivity of Sn-Li is expected to be similar to that of Li, and much higher than that of Pb-Li
