- Large size; large radial thickness
- Consider raising frequency: f=(3,4)fcD @ R > Ro + a
- Toroidal wavelength = 2 m. ~ antenna toroidal width
- Power flux limit = 10 MW/m2
1st wall aperture area > 0.5 m2
- Use ITER antenna design ( current straps and Faraday shields )
- Material choice:
* Structural : SiC with Cu surface layer ( < 1 mm)
W surface problematic due to high surface heat
dissipation
* Coolant : LiPb or other ?
