This announcement summarizes lodging and local transportation issues for
the Joint meeting of the US/Japan Workshop on Power Plant Studies and
Advanced Technologies and IEA Task Meeting on Socioeconomics Aspects of
Fusion Power to be held March 16-18.  A block of rooms has been set aside
for the nights of March 15-18 at the La Jolla Residence Inn by Marriott
(800-331-3131 or 858-587-1770) at the rate of $109 per night (single).
Please ask for the "UCSD Fusion Workshop" block of rooms.  This block will
be available until February 23.  If you plan on arriving earlier or later,
you can stay at the same rate any night in March subject to hotel
