August 14, 2018

Following his visit to General Atomics fusion facilities on July 18 (see FPN18-32) US Department of Energy Secretary Rick Perry visited the private sector fusion effort at TAE Technologies (formerly Tri Alpha Energy) near Irvine, CA.

TAE is developing a fusion concept conceived by the late Irvine University professor Norman Rostoker, a pioneer of the US fusion program. TAE has been operating a new, second generation experiment (called "Norman") since June 2017.

TAE is an Institutional Member of Fusion Power Associates; TAE CEO Dr. Michl Binderbauer is a member of Fusion Power Associates Board of Directors.
