The main aims of the conference are to identify proposals/projects to make significant progress and trace the path for the definition of the parameters and roles for a PILOT experiment for solving the engineering and physics problems for a fusion-fission hybrid. Yican Wu, Director of the Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology (INEST), Chinese Academy of Sciences is Chairman of the Conference. Co-Chairs are A. Pizzuto (Italy), W. Stacey (USA) and A. A. Ivanov (Russia).
